Persuasive writing: Email marketing

Knowing how to write well is a gift that must be cultivated. Selling with words, which is the definition of copywriting, is a subject that can be learned if you start from the right foundations. I'll be honest: a self-respecting copywriter uses different techniques and frameworks to write persuasive content, which entertains and above all leads to conversion.

Persuasive writing: examples, techniques to use

A marketing strategy is structured starting from a goal, so you need to know what yours is. For example, if you have your SWOT analysis in hand - you have identified your business's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats - you have clear what obstacles potential customers may find in purchasing your product or service.

There you will have identified your offer's "specific" barriers, but there are also "generic" barriers, which manifest themselves in any sector.

Help potential customers approach your offer

Here are the principles you can use to overcome the obstacle of making yourself chosen:

Reciprocity: we tend to say yes to those who “we owe something”. In other words, people are more inclined to help those who have already helped them in the past: they feel "obligated" and therefore will tend to reciprocate. An example? Discount codes, gift certificates, lead magnets, and anything “free” work on this principle too.

Commitment and Consistency: we tend to respect the commitments made while maintaining consistency with what we have already done or said previously. Subscriptions are based on this principle, in our case those to newsletters, for example. Think about it, it could be an idea if you have something to say.

I can't reveal all my copywriting secrets but I can help you make your brand more persuasive and captivating with writing and advice on how to manage your social networks, email marketing and much more ...
